Welcome to the 29th Irish Signals and Systems Conference 2018

On behalf of the ISSC 2018 Organising Committee, we would like to extend a warm welcome to all participants of the Irish Signals and Systems Conference 2018.

Originally founded in 1990 as a Colloquium in Digital Signal Processing and Control, the Irish Signals and Systems Conference is now a well reputed annual event on the Island of Ireland covering all aspects of signals and systems. Following its original inception, the focus of the conference remains on Signal Processing, Control and Automation, ICT related concepts, Systems Modelling, Design and Implementation for a wide range of applications. Over the last 29 years, the ISSC has been continuing to bring researchers, engineers and scientists, from both academia and industry, from the UK, Ireland and other parts of the world, to present latest findings, advances and developments in aforementioned fields and beyond. We expect that the ISSC will continue to provide support in this expanding area of research offering a forum where like-minded delegates, in particular, postgraduate students are able to find supportive and interested audience. At Queen's University Belfast, we will be hosting the 29th ISSC conference in 2018 and would like to take this opportunity to invite all researchers working in the general area of Signals and Systems to submit their research and actively participate in the conference.

We hope that you find the conference interesting and stimulating, as well as an enjoyable social gathering in Belfast, and wish you every success in your participation in ISSC 2018.
